Big Swamp Wildlife Park : Only five minutes drive away from the central business district, it offers a value for money wildlife experience. With over 60 varieties of native birds and marsupials the Big Swamp Wildlife Park offers something for everyone.
Bunbury's Regional Art Gallery: WA's largest regional gallery runs an extensive program of exhibitions by regional, national and international artists, art classes and artist-in-residence programs. The Galleries are partially funded by The Art Gallery of WA and The City of Bunbury.
Forest Park Miniature Railway runs every third Sunday
Marlston Hill Lookout Tower : This viewpoint on Marlston Hill, the original site of Bunbury’s lighthouse, looks directly over a popular harbour beach, the small boat harbour and the breakwater reaching out from Casuarina point.
Mangrove Boardwalk: Bunbury’s white mangroves are estimated to be 20,000 years old and are left over from an earlier tropical period experienced. A sensitively constructed 200 meter boardwalk follows the tidal channels through mangroves providing visitors with a truly unique experience to view these extraordinary plants.
Lighthouse Lookout: This lighthouse is a striking landmark. It stands some 25 meters above the ground and its light is visible from 27 kilometres away. The original Lighthouse on Marlston Hill served for 33 years until 1903 when increased trade created the need for a more modern facility. It was moved to its present site in 1971.
Basaltic Rock: At the northern end of Ocean Beach , the Basaltic Rock is formed from a volcanic lava flow believed to have occurred 150 million years ago in the Crataceous period. Volcanic activity was quite extensive over the South West corner for a short period of time. Basalt Rock is believed to erode and decompose over a long period of time; however a considerable amount of basalt can still be found from Bunbury to windy harbour, buried beneath sedimentary layers of sand and clay.
King Cottage Museum: A small well-kept cottage built of hand made bricks around 1880 was opened as a local history of Bunbury's oldest buildings. Its houses a valuable collection of pioneer material of the area. The Museum recreats various periods in local history.
Three Water Cruises: Enjoy wonderful views as you cruise along calm river & inlet waters. Catering & Bar facilities. Ideal to relax & take in the serenity, or book a wine cruise for your next group activity.
